Looked long and hard at the restoration capabilities of several shops in the area. Went to a few shops, talked to various people I know and all said Johns shop would do a great job at a good price. I can't argue. They did everything I asked - plus some. Finding a shop that understood the value and rarity of my car and then going full tilt to get her ready for the Mecum auction was a pipe dream that John and his crew made happen! Thanks again!

Took my 56 Fairlane Sunliner into Johnβs to have it tuned up, install electronic ignition and a fuel filter plus anything else they might find. I purchased this car at GAA auction and since I plan on it being a driver I wanted someone who knows older classic cars checking it out. I couldnβt be happier with the service I received. When you have an older car or so called Hot Rod, there arenβt many mechanics now who really know to fix them.

John and his team have done a lot of work on my GTO including suspension, brakes, changing my engine and putting in a tremec 5 speed. The work is excellent. I use my car as a daily driver and in the last 7 years I had no issues with their work. I regularly drive my car on 200 mile trips with no issues. Their prices are very fair and the car is always ready when promised.

John does expert work and does not cut corners. He got my car in ASAP and kept working on it until everything was right. I bought the car from Streetside Classics looking great, but, mechanically and safety wise it was undriveable. I'd recommend John to anyone with confidence, just don't buy a classic from Streetside.

I gave John a $ 500.00 cash deposit on a 2006 Z06 he advertised for sale with the understanding I would come back to " test drive" the car (hopefully the following day) because it was raining and 1. he didn't want me to drive the car in the rain since it was "clean" and 2. I had to go out of state for the day and really had no time to drive it right then anyway. I did have him run the car in his driveway so I could at least hear it and assess it for obvious issues. After the car was at operating temp I had him rev the engine a couple of times and noticed some blue exhaust smoke (nothing I thought to be excessive at the time) after revving the engine a couple of times. He assured me "that is normal for these LS7's to smoke a bit" . Having no previous experience with the LS7 (although I did do extensive research and reading about the inherent valve guide/stem/seat concentricity issues affecting some of these engines) or these C6 Z06's, I took his word for it (he of course, assured me he was "an honest and straight up guy") but I also told him I would need to test drive and properly check the car out on my return and he agreed stating "the only things wrong with this car is the mi
